TOPIC: THE RIGHT WAY

[H. T. M., in the Herald, Albany, Georgia]

The immutable law is the same, whether applied to individuals or nations. It governs all human relations. It controls great things and small. All perfect law is God-given, and all good law, as men place it in their constitutions or on their statute books, must follow the divine pattern.

When men and women see the law of right flagrantly outraged, they are often tempted to wonder if, after all, it pays to fight for right things, to hold fast to that which is good, to place truth above expediency. Nothing is more foolish than to yield to that temptation. For in the end (to which all of us inevitably come) right will triumph, because it can never be destroyed.
