Sunday School Notes and Comments

Older pupils in the Sunday school may enjoy and profit by experiences and constructive anecdotes, particularly if these are of current interest or have a parallel in either a Biblical incident or the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. The weekly Lesson-Sermons during the present world crises have abounded, like previous Lessons, in helpful material for instruction and enlightenment. Sunday by Sunday, while events have moved so rapidly, students have learned how to impersonalize evil (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy 71:1-4), and several have realized that from divine Mind comes the healing idea with which we can meet each critical phase of error as it appears, in accord with I Corinthians 10:13 and "Miscellaneous Writings" 306:29.

As teachers in a Christian Science Sunday School, we may experience at times a strong sense of responsibility for our pupils. When such a sense seems to be pressing, it may be well to remind ourselves of what Mary Baker Eddy has written in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," on page 174, where she says: "Truth is revealed. It needs only to be practised."
