"The light of the world"

By the study of Christian Science, man is made aware of the infinity of good. He learns that he stands at the point of unlimited opportunity; he thus adopts an attitude of both expectancy and receptivity, and this is naturally followed by practical results. By expecting good he has set in motion on his own behalf the law of God, which is good. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read (p. 2), "Shall we plead for more at the open fount, which is pouring forth more than we accept?"

The Bible declares that God "saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." This truth of creation was taught and fully demonstrated by Christ Jesus, but it remained for Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, to discover and commit its laws and rules to paper in language so simple that even children can understand it.

Christian Scientists, in increasing number, are thus able to demonstrate, for themselves and for others, the abundance of all-inclusive good, and the fact that God alone governs the universe that He has created.
