God's Promise

The promise stands forever sure
To those who humbly wait on God;
Whose thoughts uplifted are and pure,
Who tread the path the Master trod.

God's promise is to those who seek
And strive to keep the narrow way;
Who faithful are the Word to speak,
Obedient are to watch and pray.

It stands assured to those who know
That Love doth meet their every need;
Each seed of Truth they plant shall grow
And fruitful be in word and deed.

The promise stands for those who heed
This Word of God, so pure and true,
Uprooting error's every weed—
Then lilies bloom where thistles grew.

The promise is that blessings flow
To those who love and trust their Lord;
Peace, joy, and power doth He bestow.
These heavenly gifts are their reward.
