"Come to Zion with . . . everlasting joy"

Joy springs from sweet conviction based on God's omnipotence,
And, blooming, makes a fertile vale of desert ways of sense.
Joy, as a golden link, unites man's hopes to Mind's design
That forged with steadfast selflessness lets Truth's own purpose
shine.

With joy abides that tranquil poise no mortal view can sway;
Our Father's gift earth cannot give, nor men can take away!
It strikes the chord of harmony for songs in deepest night,
And lo! where darkness claimed to reign there breaks a guiding
light.

O weary heart! Whence comes thy load?
Let praise thy thought employ,
And rise to consciousness of good on healing wings of joy!
God's name is Love, His will is done. What else canst thou implore?
Come, prove the wealth of this command, Rejoice forevermore!
