In grateful acknowledgment of God's loving care, and with a desire and purpose to help others, I should like to tell some of the experiences my family has had through the systematic study of Christian Science.

After studying Christian Science for just a few weeks I began to demonstrate it, and the proofs I obtained encouraged me to go forward. There were times when others tried to influence me to turn away from this truth; and whenever I asked a more experienced student what I should do, the answer always given was that I should pray, asking God what to do. And each time I was directed to keep on studying and working. That was twelve years ago.

I had studied for about a year when my husband began to study Science. He would sit for hours reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and her other works. The result of his reading was the healing of the social drinking habit and the smoking habit within a few days of each other. These healings made me very happy. In later years, when I was discouraged or began to falter in my study, I would think of these wonderful demonstrations of the goodness of God and it helped me again and again to go forward, knowing that Truth heals. My husband has also had many more wonderful healings, such as those of influenza, inflammatory rheumatism, malaria, and many minor aliments.
