Sincerely I thank God for every activity of the Christian Science movement. For over twenty years I have received daily benefit from the study and application of Christian Science, and my heart is filled with gratitude for every healing I have experienced, witnessed, or heard of. I know and have had ample proof that Christian Science does heal every discordant condition, no matter what its name or nature, when we obey our textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, and place radical reliance on our dear Father-Mother Love.

Some years ago, four very dear and near ones passed on within a few months of one another. I was wonderfully sustained by Christian Science and believed I had been healed of grief; but later, after great financial loses and during an attack of ptomaine poisoning, I realized that I desired to pass on. My mother was with me, and twice insisted that I repeat with her "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468) when I felt I was passing on, but the third time she did not seem to reach my consciousness. I felt sure I was passing on, but I was not afraid, and then the words came to me (ibid., p. 486), "Earth's preparatory school must be improved to the utmost." I was startled, but was conscious that the words came from our textbook, and I realized that the Bible, Science and Health, and all Mrs. Eddy's other writings, were here and that I must get more of the truth. The next day I was taken to the home of some friends; the day after that I attended my Association meeting, and ate the first food that I had taken for two weeks. Two days later I worked over fifteen hours in my office. I had had a complete healing, and I am very grateful, for I know that Christian Science is the only thing in the world which could possibly have uncovered and destroyed the desire to pass on.

I could write many pages of healings which I have experienced and witnessed. Mrs. Eddy says of physical healing (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 2), "It is only the bugle-call to thought and action, in the higher range of infinite goodness." I am sincerely grateful that I have heard the bugle call to improve "earth's preparatory school," and that I am listening for divine Mind's direction.
