Topic: Quietness and Confidence

[From the Christian Advocate, Cincinnati, Ohio]

The Christian has some priceless possessions which neither war nor worry destroys—faith in God, human values, victory of truth, . . . sufficiency of divine grace, hope of life more abundant and eternal. The promise given in Paul's picture of peace, like a watchful sentinel on guard keeping hearts and minds in security, is one of the finest in religious literature. It opens the door into experience unspeakable and full of assurance and strength.

Most important of all experiences is that peace within, which guards the life like a sleepless sentinel. It is a vision of strength and fidelity and comradeship. Values which cannot be corrupted or stolen are kept in safety.
