Christian Science has brought contentment, health, and peace into my experience, and has created a desire for a purposeful and active life in service of the Cause.

My husband obtained a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and asked me if I would like to read it. At the time I knew nothing about Christian Science, or of how much I was in need of its teachings.

After reading and rereading the chapter on Prayer, I could scarcely put the book down until I had read it from cover to cover. The logic and simplicity of its teachings appealed to me, and without giving any thought to physical healing I began to apply this truth to overcome the petty annoyances in human relationships. Mrs. Eddy's spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer (Science and Health, pp. 16, 17) was a revelation to me, and as I applied these statements of Truth to my daily problems, I perceived more clearly that God is Love, the source of all true harmony, and that man reflects His divine nature. As a result, a condition of the eyes was healed, a healing of which I was not fully aware for months.
