ANNOUNCEMENTS

TENETS OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

The printed Tenets of The Mother Church are in general use by branch churches and societies, either as a basis for their application forms for admission to membership or for binding into their by-law booklets.

Because the Tenets are copyrighted, branch organizations may not have them printed for their own use. The correct procedure is to order from the Clerk of The Mother Church the quantity desired, and then have a local printer add whatever data are necessary to the individual requirements of the branch organizations.

The Tenets are printed in two sizes. The large size measures approximately 5 x 8 inches, and is generally used by the branch organizations as a basis for their membership blanks. The small size measures approximately 4 x 6 inches, and is used chiefly for binding into by-law booklets.

Translations of the Tenets, having alternate pages in English, may be procured in German, French, Italian, and Polish.

Prices for Tenets, either for English or for translations, are as follows:
Lots of 100—either size $ .75
Lots of 100—50 large and 50 small .75
Lots of 50—either size .50

Unless otherwise specified, the large size will be sent. Minimum orders are for lots of 50 Tenets.

Remittances should be made payable and sent with orders to EZRA W. PALMER, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

FROM THE CHURCH TREASURER

FROM THE PUBLISHING SOCIETY

Announcements of Publishing Society items will now be found on the inside front cover of the Sentinel.

ARTICLES, POEMS, AND TESTIMONIES

The Christian Science Publishing Society accepts religious articles and religious poems only from members of The Mother Church. Religious articles and religious poems intended for the Journal, Sentinel, or Monitor should be sent to the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department, One, Norway Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Preferably, contributors should correspond for themselves. A memorandum for contributors of religious articles and poems can be obtained from this department by request.

Convincing testimonies of Christian Science healing are also desired. Each testimony should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who either know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If, however, the testifier is not acquainted with three members of The Mother Church, his affidavit may be sufficient; but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members of The Mother Church. The testifier himself should obtain the verifications, duly signed by the verifiers, and submit them with the testimony. Complete addresses of the testifier and those who vouch for him should always be furnished.

SOURCE OF QUOTATIONS

Contributors to the periodicals of articles, poems, and testimonies are asked to note that the source of all quotations, direct or indirect, should be given. The name of the author and of the work from which any quotation is taken, together with the page, should be specified.

CHURCH MANUAL WITH BOOKPLATE

Some time ago The Mother Church inaugurated the plan of presenting a Church Manual with hand-lettered bookplate to each pupil who leaves The Mother Church Sunday School in accordance with Section 1 of Article XX of the Church Manual.

The pupils have been so pleased with this gift that branch churches and societies may wish to follow the same procedure. In anticipation of requests for copies of the Manual for this purpose, the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy are happy to announce that there are now in stock copies of the Church Manual made up with a presentation bookplate, attractively designed, with spaces for the names of the church or society and the individual to be filled in by hand. This hand-lettering will be done in Boston by the publishers at no extra cost to the church or socity. The Small Pocket Edition, at $2.00, and the Plain Print Edition, at $3.00, bound in black, brown, or blue limp morocco, are available with the bookplates. Blank bookplates, either separate or in the Manuals, are not supplied.

As the Librarians of the Reading Rooms have the necessary instruction for ordering these Manuals, it is recommended that orders and remittances be given to the local Reading Room Librarian, who will forward them to Hudson C. Burr, Publishers' Agent, One, Norway Street, Boston, Massachusetts.
