Wayfaring Men

I walk along life's common path,
Knowing what love the Father hath
Bestowed upon wayfaring men.
For God has given wayfaring men
(Though fools, as once a prophet said)
The grace to err not, while they see
The dawning of the day to be
All glorious on the heights; and then,
Glad in their holy way ahead,
To joyfully, unwearied go,
To walk and faint not, and to show
Love to their fellow men.
And so with God's good grace each day
I feel no hardness in the way.
