For a long time I have wanted to see a testimony from this part of Washington. Recently I had quite a wonderful experience which I should like to share.

I live alone, am past eighty-one, and do my own work; therefore my seven chickens mean supply and company to me. One morning when I went to feed them, I saw a man's tracks in the snow and found that four of my hens were gone. Together with a neighbor I followed the tracks until we were quite certain who had taken them, but I wanted to trust Christian Science for their return, instead of causing trouble. So I called on a practitioner and asked for help.

All that day I tried hard to clear my thought about this person and to see him as God's child, as we are taught to do, but was not free until the following day. Four days passed without the return of the chickens, and I began to think that they would not be returned. Then, the following morning when I went to feed them, there was an extra one, and when I went into the shed, a gunny sack lying on the floor held the rest of them. I was very grateful, because it proved to my neighbors and those who knew of the case that Christian Science overcomes error. There were chickens stolen from several others around me that same night, but I was the only one to have them returned.
