Daily my heart is filled with joy and gratitude for the healing, protecting, and guiding power of Christian Science.

When I found Science, I was most miserably ill and unhappy. I was suffering from heart trouble, high blood pressure, and a severe nervous breakdown, which none of the medical treatments and cures in watering places alleviated. Pains in my head and eyes and a nervous fear often seemed unbearable.

How can I describe the wonderful relief which I felt after the first few treatments in Christian Science and the study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy—how describe my gratitude, when the calmer, quieting thoughts, the better sleep, the more hopeful outlook, and the steady decrease of pain, depression, and despair, lifted me into more and more freedom! After a comparatively short time I was completely healed. No words can express my joy and gratitude for regained health, strength, and courage, which enabled me to be active again, and to walk about and enjoy the beauty of nature. I have had other healings since, of a dislocated shoulder, influenza, rheumatism, kidney trouble, fear, and of undesirable traits of character.
