Our Church Business Meetings

As the wise and harmonious management of a home comes through the concerted effort and unified purpose of the members of the family, so should the affairs of a branch church be managed in wisdom and harmony through the active participation of the membership, in attendance and in metaphysical work for the services and business meetings. In such activity unified purpose is expressed.

Study of the purpose of our business meetings is enlightening, and will help us to do our metaphysical work more definitely in support of the meetings. A dictionary definition of "to meet" is "to come together for a common purpose." The purpose of these meetings is that of realizing unity in Truth. There is no room for division or separation. Since these meetings are of vital importance to the maintenance and growth of a branch church, they should be given the utmost support of the members in consecrated thought and prayerful attendance.

Church business meetings are the coming together of the members "for a common purpose." This purpose is the acknowledgment and realization of the one Mind. Through realization of our oneness with God, Mind, we find true spiritual brotherhood in our meetings.
