Christian Science has been my only physician since I was a child of about ten years, at which time my mother became interested in this healing truth. With her help and the help of loving practitioners, many childhood disorders were overcome quickly and permanently. Once while I was playing tennis a wasp stung me on the back of the head. In a short time large portions of my body were swollen and livid. I made my way home, some blocks away, in considerable fear and some discomfort; but there the truth was declared, and very shortly all ill effects had disappeared.

This experience contrasted quite sharply with one two or three years ago, when I was stung twice on the neck. The truth about God and man was immediately declared. It was realized that all of God's ideas are harmless; that each is perfect and harmonious in his individual activity; that man is the image and likeness of God, and is not material. The pain left quickly, and the only visible manifestation was a small spot, which shortly disappeared.

Another occasion for rejoicing was the healing of the smoking habit of some twelve years' standing. No serious attempt had ever been made to quit, because it was recognized that such an attempt would probably not succeed. However, the time came when it seemed right to take a stand. Then, with the help of one near and dear, the healing came immediately, and there has been no recurrence of the desire to smoke.
