The Realm of Mind

[Written Especially for Young People]

In Christian Science we learn that God is Mind. We learn, too, that this infinite, all-inclusive Mind is available to us, as children of God. Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," has written (p. 339), "Since God is All, there is no room for His unlikeness."

In our human experience, unless we continually claim our rightful spiritual heritage, mortal error would often lead us to stray from this realm of Mind by enticing us to accept the belief that jealousy, envy, malice, resentment, hatred, anger, and at times even aggression, are real. It was to prevent such seepings into the consciousness of the Philippians that Paul wrote, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." And the same Mind is ever available to guide all of God's children.

When we, as young Christian Scientists, take our place in school or in college, at work or in our recreation, we find many opportunities for proving the presence and power of God's government. Sometimes striking healings are wrought, and there are also many little things that need the application of the clear, unbiased thinking which we acquire through Christian Science. Often big lessons are to be learned from quite small experiences.
