"Puzzled" puts a pertinent question when he asks whether Christian Science can offer a remedy for strikes, wars, atrocities, and the like. Yes, indeed, it can. Christian Science insists on strict obedience to the two great commands, namely, to love God supremely, and to love one's neighbor as oneself. These two commands, if universally obeyed, would make strikes and wars impossible. Christian Science produces a change of heart which is inescapable. It brings a recognition of man's sonship with God, and the brotherhood of man before unrealized. This recognition produces tangible results. Character is changed, sin destroyed, and sickness healed through the understanding of Christian Science. Such results cannot be accomplished by faith-healing or by mental suggestion. Christian Science is a reinstatement of primitive Christianity.
