Among the Churches

Current Notes

Elma, Washington (Society).—Christian Science Society of Elma dedicated its church edifice, located at Eaton and Second Streets, on Sunday, August 22, 1937, at a morning and an evening service.

No Christian Science church can be dedicated until it is free of debt; therefore the members of the Elma society were especially glad to be able to hold their dedication services.

In 1911 a group of four students of Christian Science began to meet regularly in one of the homes, and soon the attendance became large enough to justify hiring a hall for their meetings. In 1916 they were organized into the present society, which in 1920 was incorporated as Christian Science Society of Elma.
