How to Experience Harmony
The kind of thinking we do largely determines the conditions of our human existence. If we are thinking along egotistical lines, then we are living selfishly. If we are thinking from an unselfish standpoint, our lives express true service. If we are thinking form the standpoint of lack and limitation, lack and limitation are manifested in our experience. If, however, our thought is directed to the universe of Spirit, where there is nothing unlike abundance, then we shall have overflowing plenteousness in human experience.
Selfish living is an unhappy state. Unselfish living is joygiving. Constant lack means a cramped sense of existence. Gratefully to rejoice because in reality we live in the universe of Spirit, brings the fulfillment of the Bible promise, "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Thus we feel the freedom which comes from the knowledge that good is ever present, ever available, inexhaustible.
One whose human experience seems more or less discordant may acknowledge that this is due to his way of thinking, but such a one may say that he does not have time to do metaphysical work. We think before we act. Then why not think from the standpoint of spiritual being? If we do this it will improve our human experience, and it will not be long before we shall find more time to do specific metaphysical work about our affairs; and wonderful will be the result.
