What a joy it is to be able to express gratitude through the periodicals of our movement, and in this way to help others who are seemingly beset with difficulties.

Mrs. Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 57), "Love enriches the nature, enlarging, purifying, and elevating it." This I have proved true, having overcome many unpleasant traits of character, and I am working for the elimination of others. I have had instantaneous healings of physical discords, some with the aid of a practitioner and others through my own understanding of the glorious truth, which our revered Leader has given us in the Christian Science textbook.

I was freed from enslavement to drinking and smoking as my thinking improved. Mrs. Eddy tells us (ibid., p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."
