I am deeply grateful to God that He has led us to Christian Science, for through it we have been freed from many inharmonious conditions.

We had known of Science for two years when, one day, I felt pains in my neck, which became worse each day. I thought that I could get rid of the error myself, but the pains so overcame me that I could no longer seem to grasp the truth. We then asked a practitioner for help, but the error did not yield. After a few days the condition, from a material standpoint, seemed very bad. I could no longer take any nourishment, and I had not slept for many nights. Fear tried to take possession of us; my husband was almost in doubt as to whether the doctor should not be called after all. But I was against that course, and wanted to have only the practitioner visit me. She was called on the telephone, and as she lived some distance away she arrived late by train. She lovingly and understandingly declared the truth to me and gave me treatment. Soon I fell into a deep sleep; and when I awoke the next morning I was as if newborn, and had no more trace of pain. No words of gratitude can express what I experienced on this occasion.

We have had many other proofs of the power of divine Love, for which we owe God endless thanks. I think with gratitude of Mrs. Eddy and her revelation, and of the kind practitioner who so willingly aided us in difficult times.—
