I am most grateful for all the wonderful blessings that five years of study of Christian Science have brought into my life. Although I did not come into Science for healing, the times that I have been lifted above sickness and other forms of error have been many. I took up Science because the teachings of the church to which I belonged did not seem practical, and offered no solution to the many problems which had to be faced.

I am grateful for the untiring and faithful help of devoted practitioners. Among the healings I have experienced have been those of colds and sore throat, severe sprains, cuts, and sunburn, also of a severe pain in my stomach and right side, a condition which was never diagnosed. After becoming severely sunburned on a Thursday, I immediately asked for help, and on Sunday, when the practitioner visited in our home, I was entirely free from this condition.

A healing which was experienced more recently, and one which will always help me, was that of a severe cut. One evening, just before leaving the office where I am employed, I turned on the water and the handle broke in my hand, causing a deep cut. I was alone at the time, and immediately began to declare the truth aloud; the citation from God, or immortal Mind," helped me very much. As the bleeding was severe, I called a practitioner; help was given and much of the fear was overcome. I was advised, however, to have a physician take stitches and bandage my hand. Much fear was expressed by him and those around me; but one by one the so-called material laws were broken, the belief in permanent disability was overcome, and I am completely free, and have normal use of the hand.
