True Foundation

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," are these words (p. 323): "Beholding the infinite tasks of truth, we pause,—wait on God. Then we push onward, until boundless thought walks enraptured, and conception unconfined is winged to reach the divine glory."

From time to time we glimpse something of "the infinite tasks of truth;" but do we pause long enough to gain a clear appreciation of real being? Material existence is such a rush, and the temptation is to hurry on, without waiting for divine guidance—the only guarantee of success.

There are so many human footsteps to take, so many human plans to make, in order to keep pace with the world around us. There is competition everywhere, and there seems no time to pause.
