In your report of an address on the problem of pain, given by the Provost of Bradford, a reference was made to the teachings of Christian Science. Christian Science does not ignore any human problem, but deals with it through the spiritual understanding of the Master's words, "Ye shall know the truth, and truth shall make you free."

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy will be found this statement (p. 460): "Sickness is neither imaginary nor unreal,—that is, to the frightened, false sense of the patient. Sickness is more than fancy; it is solid conviction. It is therefore to be dealt with through right apprehension of the truth of being."

The understanding of "the truth of being" effectively solving all problems, is the method taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.
