It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, that I give this testimony of its healing efficacy.

From birth I was a sickly child, and physicians told my parents that I would not live, as a bowel trouble which I had, finally resulted in a tubercular condition. As I grew older, many abscesses formed and caused great pain and suffering. I went to the hospital to be operated upon, and when I returned home the attending physician called for a consultation, as I was worse than before. My family would not hear of another operation, so it was suggested that I have a change of climate with complete rest. I went to visit a friend in a distant city who had some knowledge of Christian Science. After several months she became quite ill, and asked me to call a practitioner. The practitioner came, and as she was leaving asked me to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy to this friend. In doing so I was completely healed, and the condition has never returned. This friend also received a beautiful healing, and since that time we have both been students of Christian Science.

We entered business together, and through Christian Science treatment it has continued, although there have been times when we did not seem to know which way to turn. Through Christian Science treatment I have proved many times that there are no losses; and I have been healed of many discordant conditions, both physical and mental. Unlovely traits of disposition are being healed, and with each healing has come a very valuable lesson.
