Silent Prayer

Collectively, exclusively, for these, dear Lord, we pray:
Not for ourselves alone to meet a need or clear a way,
But for each suppliant gathered here, we know Thy will is done,
For Thou art in the midst of us, and Thou and Thine are one.

The breath of Truth perfumes the air around us as we pray,
The strength of Life invigorates these moments of the day;
The warmth of Love is hovering, light as a bird's soft wing,
And in the silence hearts can hear the songs which angels sing.

All sense of sickness vanishes where Truth and Life abide,
Beliefs of lack recoil before Love's full, abundant tide;
Hate and dissension melt away, and bending to Thy will
Each heart breathes Love's reflection forth, receiving
"Peace, be still"!

O Father, let these moments be rich with faith's pure appeal,
Filled with the understanding that Thy love alone is real,
Sealed with our praise-filled gratitude as silently we say,
Collectively, exclusively, for these, dear Lord, we pray.
