The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Washington, Indiana (First Church).

Lecturer: William Duncan Kilpatrick; introduced by Mrs. Georgia E. Dillard, who said:—

I sought Christian Science primarily for a physical healing. On page 322 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read, "The sharp experiences of belief in the supposititious life of matter, as well as our disappointments and ceaseless woes, turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love." Thus it was with me. I was suffering from neuritis, and was unable to obtain any relief from medical science. Through the suggestion of a loving friend I asked for help in Christian Science and was healed. This healing came rapidly, and was followed by many other healings, and the Christ, Truth, became my only physician. Great as are the blessings these healings brought me, greater than all else is the understanding of God and man's relationship to Him which I have gained from the study and application of Christian Science. It is the "Peace, be still," to every suggestion of discord.
