I know that Christian Science heals

I know that Christian Science heals. I have had innumerable instances of healing—healings of fear, grief, and illness. When I was a young girl our family became interested in Science through the healing of a brother who had been an invalid for years.

Three years ago my husband was taken from us in a most cruel and tragic manner. Christian Science healed me of the sense of shock and grief so quickly and completely that I marvel that I could have gone through the experience so calmly. My young daughter seemed to have some difficulty in mastering the situation, but did not ask for treatment because she felt she should work out her problem. After watching her struggle for two months, unable to return to college, not caring or daring to go anywhere alone, I persuaded her to ask for help. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy says (p. 420): "If students do not readily heal themselves, they should early call an experienced Christian Scientist to aid them. If they are unwilling to do this for themselves, they need only to know that error cannot produce this unnatural reluctance." In two days after she asked for help she was back in her classrooms, where loving and helpful instructors and fellow students welcomed and assisted her in every way possible.

An aunt, a woman in her ninety-third year, has been a Christian Scientist since 1893 and has lived in our home for the past ten years. A short time before our dear one was taken from us, this aunt became very ill. The organs of elimination seemed to be worn out, and the end appeared to be near at hand. Christian Science treatment was all that was asked for or given, and she gradually recovered. Today she is in splendid physical condition.
