Eastern Daily Press

From Letters, Substantially as Published

In today's Eastern Daily Press a clergyman is reported as classifying Christian Science with Couéism and autosuggestion, representing different kinds of psychotherapy. Christian Science is definitely not a kind of psychotherapy, which treats disease by acting on the human mind through suggestion. Such treatment is the reverse of Christian Science treatment, which, as I pointed out in my letter last week, heals through the understanding of the one and only Mind, God.

Christian Scientists the world over rejoice that have found in this Christian Mind-healing—the healing by the power of divine Mind only—a practical Science based entirely on the Bible, and as far removed from methods employing mental suggestion or autosuggestion, mesmerism, Couéism, as light is from darkness.
