The Simplicity of Christian Science
The inspired pages of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, frequently bring instantaneous enlightenment to the earnest seeker for Truth. To him comes in a degree something of the revelation that came to our beloved Leader as she searched the Scriptures for the Principle underlying the teaching and works of Jesus the Christ.
As the student continues to read, his thoughts, which hitherto have been dark and confused, are illumined in the light of spiritual truth, and he is able to discern the fundamental facts concerning man and the universe. He finds his concepts of things changing. Conditions which have appeared difficult, even hopeless, assume a different aspect. Confusion gives place to order as he begins to adjust his thinking to this scientific teaching. In an experience deemed cruel and unnecessary he finds the rod which may be converted into a staff. Seeming unkindness from others ceases to trouble his thought, and God is recognized as the impartial, loving Father-Mother of all.
Thousands of men and women all over the world today are finding in the teachings of Christian Science a demonstrable, satisfying religion, through which they may apply the ever-operative spiritual law to their every thought and act. They realize the logic of Christian Science, and its far-reaching healing effects.
