It has been my desire to express gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me daily.
About twenty-five years ago, before I became interested in Christian Science, I was very ill with measles. I was quite a young woman then, and I seemingly had a hard attack, which left me with a bad ear. I suffered so much I could not sleep nights. I had treatment from two different doctors, but they did not give me any ease.
My mother had just become interested in Christian Science, and wanted me to try it. A dear relative who had had a lovely healing in Science came over in the evening and asked if she could read to me. I know she had been raised up out of bondage and healed, so I realized that this Science could do something for me. I was in bed and could hardly lie down on account of the pain—my neck and ear were very much swollen—but she started to read, and I could not say how long she read because I fell asleep, and slept all night. In the morning I awoke healed.
