Topic: Necessity for Faith

[Carl C. Magee, in the Daily Monitor, McAllen, Texas]

Faith gives direction to life. Hope inspires our behavior. Love is the great creative force of our being. Without these we can do or be nothing. Yet, because they are less obvious than other laws in their physical reactions, we ignore or deny them. Denying them, we make shipwreck of the adventure which we call life.

There are none of us, probably, but have faith and hope and love. We have faith in something. We hope for something. We love something. We cannot help it. It is a law of our being. Why attempt to ignore or deny it? Better far to analyze ourselves and see what are the objects upon which we fix our faith, our hope, and our love, for this fixation will determine the whole trend of our lives.
