In your issue of May 8, in your "Town Talk" column, the following statement was made: "One critic declared that nudism, redism, and Christian Science were the trinity of iniquity and should be banned."

There is no doubt that many of your readers are interested in Christian Science, or have some dear friends or relatives who are, and they know full well the high standard of morals held by the devout students of this religion. Since you have published only what some critic has said, we shall appreciate your giving space to the correction of this statement.

Christian Science is founded upon the Scriptures, upon the teachings of Jesus and his apostles, and the prophets of old. Its practice includes the healing of sensuality, immorality, and ungodliness. A convincing statement of a Christian Scientist's obligation to God, to the world, and to himself may be found on page 497 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. The last of the six religious Tenets of Christian Science reads, "And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure."
