In the Herald of March 14, Dr. John Patrick, addressing the students of St. Mungo's College, is reported as having classified Christian Science among "cults of fanatical cranks." I shall be obliged if you will give me space in your paper to correct this misstatement.

No one who admits the authenticity of the Bible will deny that Christ Jesus, the disciples, and the first Christians healed physical sickness far better than orthodox medicine or surgery has ever done.

The truth of the healings recorded in the Bible may be denied, or it may be held that they were only possible at that special time, but they were not put down to the work of "fanatical cranks." Jesus himself said that he came to fulfill the law, and he often referred to the signification of his "works" as proof of God with him.
