With a heart overflowing with gratitude I desire to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

Eleven years ago I was suffering from so-called hereditary tuberculosis. Seeking a cure for my lungs, I had undergone a very long medical treatment. One of my wrists was likewise in a bad condition; after operating on me twice, a good surgeon told me that my case would be very difficult to heal.

At this point Christian Science was presented to me, but it seemed impossible for me to become interested in it, for I believed that God sent trials to strengthen my faith. At the end of the medical treatment I succeeded in finding a position in an office, but I was sad and troubled, for I lived in constant fear that the illness might reappear. Everything that I had been told about Christian Science kept coming to my thought. so that finally I bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and some Heralds. As I read I learned to know God as taught in Christian Science, and when the much-dreaded disease reappeared I consented to see a practitioner. She received me very kindly and told me that everything is possible to God. She recommended that I study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly daily before going to work.
