Several years ago I was instantaneously healed through Christian Science of hemorrhages caused by a surgical incision. The hemorrhages had not been stayed, although for a whole year I had tried everything possible. The last thing the doctors tried, over a period of some moths, was X-ray treatment, which I underwent twice a week, but without regaining my health. Then the doctor who was treating me proposed an operation. In my hopeless condition I went to see a Christian Science practitioner and told him my trouble. He asked, "Do you believe that God created man perfect?" I had to admit that I did. The practitioner replied, "Then what you have told me about yourself cannot be true." When I was told more about true spiritual life I believed in the truth and in omnipotent God. It was proved to me, too, that evil has power only so long as one attributes power to it; for when I was at home that afternoon I could hardly remember that I had suffered so critically for a year.

Today I could not imagine my life without this Christ-teaching. In every situation I have found refuge in God. I am sincerely grateful to God and to Christian Science that I have regained my health. I am grateful to the practitioner for showing me the way from sense to Soul.
