May I have space for a reply to a letter written by "Tolerance," published in a recent issue of the Gleaner?

It is true that there is not "one set of truths for one generation, and another set for another." However, history is replete with instances where humanity has entertained for centuries beliefs which later were proved to be false.

For instance, the commerce, industry, and wealth of the world were greatly limited for hundreds of years because of the belief in a flat earth. But the lack and limitation resulting from that belief are insignificant as compared with the misery, distress, disease, and degradation which have fallen to the lot of humanity as a result of the belief that a physical body is the image and likeness of God, who is Spirit.
