Before I began to study Christian Science about five...
Before I began to study Christian Science about five years ago I never felt really well, was always tired, and frequently very much depressed. I had done all I could materially to improve my health, followed the advice of doctors and specialists, and was constantly taking medicines. I also wore a surgical belt.
As I did not improve at all, I was led to visit a Christian Science practitioner. From the first visit my outlook on life was completely changed; I destroyed the surgical belt and threw away medicines and prescriptions. I was healed quickly and permanently of neuralgia in the lower part of the spine, from which I had suffered for a long time.
Recently I had the great joy of witnessing a healing of one of my children who was knocked down in the road and thrown heavily onto her head. She was brought home in a dazed condition, and after putting her to bed I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner for help. When I left the telephone and went back to the child I found her vomiting blood, and my husband, who is not a student of Christian Science, was so alarmed that he called in a doctor. The doctor considered the symptoms so grave that he arranged for a specialist to call in the afternoon. I am thankful to say that I was not at all afraid, as I was so conscious of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God. Three hours after the doctor called, and before the specialist arrived, the child called out to me, "Mummy, I feel as though I had never been knocked down;" and she was healed.
