In your esteemed paper for December 2 there was an article wherein Mrs. Eddy is presented in a light that calls for correction.

The author of your article calls attention to the unique standing which The Christian Science Monitor occupies among the world press, because of its clean and sensationless newspaper policy, and also gives it his full recognition. The tree is known by its fruit, and whatever opinion one may personally have about Mrs. Eddy's work, it is beyond doubt that hundreds and hundreds of thousands, not to say millions, of people are consciously indebted to her for healing and harmony as a result of the revelation and teachings which she has given to a hungering world. Is it likely that a person with such a bad disposition as the one ascribed to Mrs. Eddy by the author could have accomplished what she did?
