"Freely ye have received, freely give." For many years I have freely received of the bountiful supply of good which God gives His children, and the time has come when I wish to express my gratitude in a broader way.

From childhood I suffered from headaches, which at times were so severe that a physician was called to administer a hypodermic. Many remedies were tried with only temporary relief, and it was only when I turned to God for help that I was cured. After the birth of each of my two children I was left with a fistula, which the physicians frankly said was next to incurable. I underwent two major operations, which were unsuccessful, the doctors in the second case admitting it was a failure before I left the hospital. My normal weight is one hundred and twenty-five pounds and I went down to eighty-nine pounds. I had had proofs of the healing truths of Christian Science and now began to study it. I was healed, and have had no other help in over twenty years.

When my youngest son was a baby of twenty-one months, I took him to the country for a vacation, and while there he was taken with bloody dysentery. I was having Christian Science treatment for him, but the condition did not seem to yield. It was a small country town and the neighbors began to criticize me for not having a doctor, and told my sister they wished I would take my baby home, as they did not want a coroner's inquest in the town. I have always been grateful that I had no sense of resentment. I kept in touch with the practitioner by telephone, and there was never any doubt or fear in my thought as to the outcome. Upon arriving home I was told by the practitioner to put the baby to bed and to rely entirely upon God, which I did. This was six o'clock in the evening and he slept until nine the next morning, when he awoke entirely healed. Is it any wonder that we are grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for revealing to us God, who heals all our diseases?
