Awakening

There dawns upon my vision bright,
The city which lies foursquare,
Where gloom and cloud mar not the light,
And there is no night there.

Then to mine ear, the voice of Truth
With peaceful accents clear,
Speaks to awakened consciousness,
Love perfect casts out fear.

I feel my Father-Mother near,
Close in God's arms I rest;
Hid in His bosom with the Christ,
I am supremely blest.

I breathe the fragrance of God's love,
Peace perfect here is found;
Sweet sense of Life that knows no death,
I stand on holy ground.
