Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Devonshire, England.

The Archdeacon of Bodmin is reported in the Western Morning News as saying: "The world today, so far from being irreligious, is clamorous for religion. We cannot say it is not," he added, "when even Christian Science can secure thousands of disciples." The same paper also published some remarks of a Torquay doctor, who in the course of an address on "Unorthodox Medical Healing" spoke of cures said to have been achieved by those practicing Christian Science. He recounted two instances of healing which he had heard at a Christian Science testimony meeting.

Another speaker at Exmouth, whose subject was "Spiritual Healing," is also reported as saying, in part, that he was not going to say anything against Christian Science, for he knew it to contain truth. The special Navy Week display of The Christian Science Monitor at Plymouth, together with rest room, organized by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Plymouth, and assisted by the other branch organizations, received good reports in the press.
