Lecturer: Professor Hermann S. Hering; introduced by Frank Archibald William Lucas, who said:—

Christian Science is based on the inspired Word of the Bible. It reveals the truth of which Christ Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" and it demonstrates in its practice the divine love, of which Mrs. Eddy says, in "Science and health with key to the Scriptures" (p. 225), "Love is the liberator." A knowledge of Truth and love does indeed free hungering and aching hearts from the burdens of sorrow, sickness, and evil, from the miseries which seem to oppress mankind.
