Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

The attitude of the press continues to be increasingly friendly, and there appears to be a growing inclination to accord Christian Science a place amongst the religions.

Thirty-two papers throughout the state are now publishing weekly excerpts from the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. They are creating a friendly interest in Christian Science amongst quiet a number of newspaper men. In one case the sister of the proprietor of a newspaper printing the excerpts, who had been reading them every week, visited a friend suffering from chronic asthma, nerve trouble, and insomnia. She told her friend what she had been reading, and together they sought the Assistant Committee who delivered the excerpts, and asked him if Christian Science could heal the condition. He replied that there was no reason why it could not. A practitioner was employed, and through absent treatment a quick healing followed.

An invitation was received from the Committee of the Student Christian Movement within the University of Sydney, to give an address on Christian Science. The address was given in the Union Hall of the university, about one hundred being present. The audience was very attentive.
