It is with deep gratitude for Christian Science that I send this testimony. About three years ago, while preparing for bed one evening, I was suddenly stricken, losing the use of my right arm and leg; in fact, the whole right side was helpless. I was fast losing consciousness, and to mortal sense seemed to be passing on. With difficulty I managed to declare, "God is my Life, God is my Life." I kept repeating this statement, also "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health (p. 468), and these words on page 414, "Keep in mind the verity of being,—that man is the image and likeness of God, in whom all being is painless and permanent." In a few minutes I was able to move my fingers, a short time later I could slide my foot along the floor, and a half hour or so later I was walking around the room, completely healed. Since that time there has not been even the slightest suggestion of a return of this trouble. I am living a very active life, for which I am profoundly grateful.

I have also been healed of stomach trouble, rheumatism, pleurisy, catarrh, and frequent severe colds. For thirty years I was a very heavy smoker, but was healed instantaneously of that habit.

Words are inadequate to express my sincere gratitude for Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, and for all Christian Science has done for me and mine. I am grateful for the help of practitioners, for the church services, lecturers, periodicals, Reading Rooms, and for every activity of the Christian Science movement.
