For many years I have received so much good from reading the testimonials in the Sentinel and Journal that I now wish to add mine with the desire that it may help others. Christian Science first became vital in my life at the time my mother passed on when I was eighteen. At that time I was healed of grief. From this time on I took up the study of Science in earnest, although before then I had attended the Christian Science Sunday School.

I have been healed of chronic constipation, which had continued and grown worse for about four years. At this time there was much fear in my thought that I should pass on with this condition, as there had been no bowel action for two weeks. A practitioner in a distant city was called, as I was at that time living on a farm in southern Florida. This condition was healed within a few days. That was over thirteen years ago, and the healing has been permanent.

About twelve years ago, when I first came to California, I visited on a ranch in the central part of the state with relatives who were not Christian Scientists. There I was stricken with a severe fever, and was unable to take any solid food for two weeks. My husband was across the continent at this time, and I knew only one Christian Scientist in California—a practitioner in Los Angeles. Although the people with whom I was staying were opposed to what they thought Christian Science to be, they nevertheless expressed enough love to wire this practitioner for help at my request, and I was healed. I have been healed very quickly of influenza, colds, and sprained ankle, sometimes with my own work, sometimes with the help of a practitioner.
