Having received so much good through Christian Science...
Having received so much good through Christian Science I wish to express my gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me and mine. My attention was first directed to Christian Science when my brother was healed in a very short time of a severe case of asthma of six years' standing. A short time after this our entire family, except my father, contracted smallpox. He, however, manifested all the symptoms. The practitioner who had treated my brother was living in an apartment above us and was asked to treat the whole family. My father was healed instantaneously, and the rest of the family were soon up and well.
A short time after these healings we moved to a small town where there was no Christian Science organization, and we did not have the privilege of attending Sunday school or church services. While there my brother suffered from a dislocated bone in the leg. Standing firm in this truth, my mother employed a practitioner in the town from which we had moved, and in a few days my brother was well. During the following years we were not privileged to attend services except for about one year, on account of moving from one place to another. However, the seed of truth sown during this short time was most helpful in meeting and overcoming obstacles in later years. I witnessed my sister's healing of epilepsy in a severe stage, and also her child's healing of skin itch. Our children were healed of measles and scarlet fever, and the boy of an unusual case of mumps.
After marriage I had quite a struggle to overcome the prejudice to Christian Science of my husband and his parents. Through my living Christian Science, and persistently applying it, this prejudice has been entirely overcome, and my husband is now a member of a local church and a faithful student of this truth.
