We are told in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 113), "The vital part, the heart and soul of Christian Science, is Love." In demonstrating the unreality of influenza I had the privilege to put into practice this law of Love. The specific claims of matter were overcome almost instantaneously with the help of a loving Christian Science practitioner. I am especially grateful for the message which came to me—the angels of God's presence. When asked by someone, "What do you think about all day?" my heart rejoiced in all the blessings these angels had brought.

The entire condition was not met instantaneously, but I grew in the strength of Spirit during this period. When a cough which did not yield quickly brought from mortal mind the argument, You cannot expect to lose it so soon, immediately there was an "angel" knocking for admittance with the declaration, You cannot lose anything that belongs to you, but a cough does not belong to man. I am grateful for these "angels" and all the blessings they brought me. I am grateful, also, that this problem enabled me to take one more step towards heaven, harmony. The condition was healed beautifully and completely.

Christian Science has been my only physician. Although I have not had any spectacular healing, I have felt the protection of its healing truth in all these thirty years. I have been healed of asthma, sprained ankle, homesickness, effects of near-drowning, and other discordant conditions. A home and sufficient supply to meet daily needs have come to me as the result of demonstration. The privilege of class instruction is the greatest blessing of all. With the understanding gained through this experience I have been able to listen better and to follow the guidance of Truth. It has helped me to be a better worker in God's vineyard. I am happy to have proved our Leader's words from Science and Health (p. 451), "Man walks in the direction towards which he looks, and where his treasure is, there will his heart be also." I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church, also in a branch church, and happy to be of service in our precious Cause.
