A contributor in your issue of July 21 made observations that gave a wrong impression of Christian Science.

Christian Scientists do not advocate "the running of the world on any lines other than those revealed in the Scriptures," as implied by the contributor. On the contrary, they recognize that teachings contained in the Bible open the way through which all the difficulties of the world may be solved.

The first religious tenet of Christian Science, written by Mary Baker Eddy, states, "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 497; Manual, p. 15). Christian Scientists accept Christ Jesus as their Way-shower; they understand that his teachings are truly scientific; and they earnestly desire to follow all his words and works.
