That God is an omnipotent help in time of trouble I have had manifold proofs. Through an understanding of the law of divine Love I have been healed of headaches, influenza, indigestion, broken bones, drinking, and smoking.

In connection with my business I was required to step out on a temporary platform which gave way under my weight. I fell thirty-five feet, landing upright on one foot only. The foot crushed with the weight on it. I asked to be taken home so I could call for Christian Science help. Instead, I was rushed to a hospital, and taken immediately into the operating room. Three X-ray pictures were taken after a quick examination of the foot. The resident doctor and head nurse held a consultation and then called in a visiting surgeon. After examining the three X-ray pictures and the foot, he pronounced a badly crushed foot, stating that it was too swollen to put a cast on it that evening. This was on a Friday. After much persuasion I was taken home, to be called for the next morning. I then asked for Christian Science help, which was lovingly given. When called for on Saturday, I did not return to the hospital. All Friday night I had suffered with chills and fever, but these were overcome by morning. On Monday I visited the practitioner's office on crutches; on Wednesday I went to his office again, this time with only a cane. That night I walked to church without any material aid, and gave my testimony, praising God, the Giver of all good, for His healing love.

I am so grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has given to us this healing truth, and to our loving Father-Mother God for His love and care, and for the workers in His vineyard.
